9/18 | A Spirit contractor goes into the airplane to see if the door is open. The stand to hold it is in place but the door isn’t open. |

The mid-exit door plug is closed. No inspection is carried out because the opening and closing were not recorded in the internal system. | |
9/20 | A Boeing quality assurance manager signs off that the rivet work is done. |
Airplane 8789 is rolled out of the factory. |
